Media Violence

HISTORY
Media Violence was formed in 2000 by McCormick and Carl Berger following the dissolve of Another Earthly Dimension. Berger left MV after the “Art of the State” album to persue other endevors. From 2002-2009, the project was mostly solo but also had many guests and several “live crews.” In the beginning, the primary direction of the band was purely electronic with a focus on borderline EBM rhythms and synth lines. Media Violence’s sound evolved during it’s history into thickly layered, extremely heavy, and often epic industrial metal usually following the “concept album” style of record making. Following the release of The Great Collapse, McCormick added Berry and Archer to MV’s main lineup.
