Dear friends, family, and fans,
There comes a time when all great things must come to an end. Over the past year I have spent much time in introspection and have decided it’s finally time to officially announce my retirement from Media Violence Inc and by default lay to rest Media Violence, Aggressive Attack, Neuroexorcism, and Cage Clinic.
I have been in the game for 15 years now, producing and performing industrial, electronic, and experimental music and I am finally at the point with all of these projects that I can honestly look back and say “I am satisfied with how they ended.”
In the past 15 years (1996-2011) I have shared the stage and studio with some of the best artists on the east coast. Those memories will always be a part of me. Along the way I have met so many awesome musicians, engineers, and fans that I could never begin to express the gratitude I have for their (and your) support of my projects.
I have chosen here, on “Oil For The Fire: The Best Of 15 Years,” some of my top favorite music from these projects that I feel exemplify everything I wanted to do with my music. Please download, share, burn, torrent, all you like. I feel that this collection is exactly the way I always wanted to go out. I am proud of these songs, and with this release I can honestly say I have poured out my heart, mind, soul, and countless hours into them and though I may be retiring, I know that I left it all on the table.
Before I sign off, I would like to thank the following people for their endless support for my music: John Berry, Arin Bennet, Jdavyd Williams, Tom Morgan, Carl Berger, Jacob Satterfield, Andrew Lent, Kim Reynolds, Chad VanPelt, David Berry, Eric Archer, Kerry Hazelwood, Patrick Allen, AJ Martin and TJ Harman. Last but not least I’d like to thank my wife, Chris B McCormick whose support in anything I choose to do is limitless.
I will not say that I am never make music again, but if it ever does happen again, I know I have the best friends, family, and fans in the world.
“Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.” – Yoda
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!
